Apps can be a great way for children to practice a variety of skills and are a great way for children to communicate. It can be very frustrating for children with autism when they can’t find the right words or pronunciation to communicate, hopefully these apps will provide some source of help. Perfect for working on Lámh signs and this app includes a sign library so you can practice individual Lámh signs. The presenters are Keith Hanley and Maura Bolger who use Lámh signs to guide Lámh users through illustrated stories and fun activities.

Special words is good for reading activities, vocabulary development and can be personalised to add more vocabulary. Special Words helps to increase sight word vocabulary,  to develop hand-eye co-ordination and to improve fine motor skills.
